Schools in Seoul are the most picky and they prefer to hire teachers with experience or with an English, education, or similar degree. Schools in Gyeonggido (the area surrounding Seoul) are more likely to hire first year teachers with little experience. The jobs in major cities outside of Seoul/Gyeonggido offer better sized housing and are more likely to have a more relaxed atmosphere.
